Change Oil Soon?

Change Oil Soon?
This is a weird one. One of the first things I did when I got my car about a month ago was have the oil and filter changed. They used Mobil one and I saw them change it so I know they did. The other day my codes say oil 11%. Yesterday it started saying change oil soon, and oil is at 8%. I don't know how long it had been since oil changed before I got it, but could that make a difference?

Hi:
No, you don't need to change your oil again. You need to re-set your Oil Life Remaining on the DIC. With the engine off try putting your gas pedal to the floor three times. Foot all the way to the floor, then off three times. If that doesn't work, try hitting your re-set button with the engine off and the key in the ON position.
Good Luck and congratulations on your new ride.

Ok guys, I got it. Did the reset with the key on again but this time held the reset for like 10 seconds or so until everything cleared and the oil life showed 100% and then let up on the reset. Before I was just hitting the reset briefly until it beeped and the change oil soon went away. All is well. Thanks for the tips.
