It's a nice unit, but double DIN won't fit in a C5 dash. Maybe with a new dash panel and some modification? I put one in my H2 and think it's great. Here's some pics of the install:

Yeah, that's a killer unit - if I don't wind up going with a CarPC, I'm definitely doing a AVIC-D3.
I love how the IPOD integration looks!
Any other insight Chris?
BTW, C5Kidd does some nice double DIN conversions on the center dash areas, he's a forum vendor too

There's a pretty simple bypass to make the D3 video playback work without the parking brake on. The newer more expensive Z2 unit has a hard drive to store music, but last I checked it could not be bypassed. That's where the D3 + iPod shines. Only thing I've found is don't skimp on sound quality when you rip a CD, use the max quality setting for better high and lows.

Thanks for the link Chris! Some great hacks being done on the unit - I'm amazing at the flexibility of a "stereo".
We have an 80GB POD so we definitely don't need in car "fixed" storage, the D3 sounds perfect.
I still go back and forth with the CarPC (being a total geek) since it does provide the ultimate in expansion - the one thing that really intrigued me about the CPC was having an perm in-car PC for my HPTuners!
Thanks again ~
