TPSMak,
Thank you for sending the prices. I believe I have seen the other offers for the 'knock off' set up and I will have to say the price difference is significant. I am all for supporting the original designer and manufacturer of a product, however, when it comes down to a budget the cheaper route always initially appears easier for the pocket book. Please help convince me that LG is the way to go. Also, I would like some feedback from anyone else that has bought and installed the LG. Was it easy to install, hook up, did it line up correctly? I would be willing to spend the money if I am sure there would be no problems installing the system.

#1-Unlike a tunnel plate, headers takes quite awhile to develop and generally must be done with a vehicle where you can prototype on a car UNLESS you have extremely sophisticated software like what GM/ Ford has where they can design an entire car on the computer. I HIGHLY doubt some of these companies making knock offs are prototyping on actual cars.. if they did they would not have some of the install problems they have. I don't believe in supporting companies who BLATANTLY ripoff other people designs How would you feel if you designed a product and someone ripped it off and sold it alot cheaper to undercut you?
#2-Fitment-From what we've seen from headers brought into our shop some of the knock offs end up taking longer to install and because of this we have to charge more to install the product. Which in turn will reduce some of the savings you will have between the LG and the knock off. The LG product installs very easily without having to do any unnecessary bending or cutting.
#3-Customer Support-LG Motorsports has been around since 1988 DEVELOPING AND SUPPORTING the Corvette Community. Not many manufactures can say their products are tested as rigorously and extensively as LG's products. I can honestly say that LGs support for their products are excellent. They always answer the phones and always has a solution if their is a issue with their products, which has not happened much at all.
#4-Supporting American Made Products-I have always tried to support my fellow Americans by trying to purchase products made in the US. Over the last 10 years this country has shipped jobs over seas at an alarming rate whether those are manufacturing jobs or even high paying tech jobs. I used to buy German cars(MB, BMW) but have decided to no longer do that.. my last 3 cars have been made by the GM or Ford. I understand not everyone has the ability to support their fellow Americans BUT when they lose their jobs because their job has been shipped overseas they'll have to look in the mirror as one of the causes as to why he or she lost their jobs.
In the end if companies see that consumers are willing to support companies that want to knock off their properties there will be no incentives for them to develop and produce new products for the market.
