Default C5 & C6 Powder Coated Rebuilt Calipers-$260

C5 & C6 Powder Coated Rebuilt Calipers-from $319.99 FREE SHIPPING!

CALIPERS ARE 100% REBUILT WITH NEW BOOTS AND SEALS!
-Brakes are a safety issue and we take YOUR safety very seriously. We DO NOT USE ANY OLD/ USED BOOTS or SEAL.

Our powder coating process has 2 coats of powder coating applied to each caliper and bracket which hides alot of the casting imperfections on the caliper. We can also powder coat your own calipers. If you are interested in purchasing a set of TPS Powder Coated Calipers OR having your calipers powder coated please contact us. A $400 core charge will be applied when order is placed and your old calipers must be sent back to us to receive your core charge back. Cores must be in good condition without damage.

Caliper brackets are powder coated so the pads can "float" freely in the bracket
-When caliper brackets are painted or powdercoated you MUST make sure the area where the pads sit are free of excessive powder coating. If there is excessive powder coat it will cause your brakes to bind.

Please take a look at our caliper bracket on the right as it is free of excess powder coating in areas where the pads sits... allowing it to "Freely Float" and NOT BIND.

I have seen these in person side-by-side with calipers from another VERY well known powder coater. The powder coating quality as well as the masking is much better on these than they were on the work from the other source. I was shocked when we looked close up and found a lot of dust under the powder from the other vendor. The ones from TPS were NICE.

The main reason why ours is very clean and the calipers "uncontaminated" is because we ONLY bake 1 color at a time. When you bake multiple colors at a time the powder will start to swirl and land on calipers it should not. Our process is also tedious... here's a synapses of how the process works

#1-Calipers/ Brackets are stripped of oils and sand blasted to ensure the powder will cling to it properly.

#2-Calipers/ Brackets are then masked where they need to be masked.

#3-Calipers/ Brackets are baked for 15 minutes at 400degress to heat them up and burn out all moister so when powder is sprayed on them they will stick immediately.

#4-Calipers/ Brackets are then sprayed with 1st coat of commercial grade powder coat at 400degrees for 30 minutes.

#5-Calipers/ Brackets are then taken out and resprayed with a second coat and rebacked at 400degress for 30 minutes.

#6-Calipers/ Brackets are then 100% rebuilt with brand new boots and seals. NOT 1 USED OR OLD BOOT/ SEAL IS USED.

How well is the powdercoat going to hold up on a car that is tracked?

Do you have a set ready to ship to Texas? (75028)

$50 for UPS ground? Wow, making some money on the shipping too or are you packaging these in gold wrapping paper?

Let me know!

Robert

We've not had any issues with customers complaining about them not holding up. We've actually poured Motul Brake fluid on a set and let it sit on the powdercoating and NOTHING happened.

We do have C5 sets ready to ship out to you.

We had to raise the shipping costs because of the "gold material" we use to package the calipers. BUT, honestly we had some bad luck shipping them and they got damaged because we didn't use enough packaging material. So NOW we probably OVER PACK them to ensure they arrive to the customer flawless.

What color are you looking for?

i would love to get mine done sometime. Mine however have been painted by previous owner. It's not terrible but it's not real good of a job either. Would that cause an issue with my core?

If there is paint or powder coating we will have to strip it down to be able to powder coat it properly. There will be a $75 to strip the paint off the calipers or brackets.

So these will be ready to bolt on? I have a 97' with 32K miles. I will want red. Does it match Torch Red? Also, can we mix and match color? Maybe Red calipers with black brackets? And can the red calipers have the Corvette in Black?
And another question. Could i get the C6 calipers as my wheels will clear them but send my C5 cores?
If I did go with C6 calipers, what would I need to be able to install them? Larger rotors?

Here's how it looks and it is a REAL close match to Torch Red. We can give you C6 Calipers but it will be an extra $150. I like the C6 Version calipers also myself

The color? or the C6 vC5 caliper? The C6 Caliper looks better IMO because it has less fins and the Corvette logo is ALOT bigger.

I was thinking the C6 brakes were bigger for some reason. Is it just the Z06's that have the Big Brakes?

Z06 Brakes are bigger and so are the Z51 brakes. You can go with Z51 Brackets and then you can use a larger rotor.

If you want to go with Red C5 Calipers w/ Z51 Brackets in black I can do them for $500 with your Core exchange. You will then need some Z51 rotors which I can sell them to you for $300 delivered to your door.

would you be able to powder coat something other than just calipers? I am interested getting my calipers done in red, and my rims done in gloss black.
