I've got a Cobra and I like it, but would it be worthwhile to buy this cord and cut the end off and splice it into the Cobra one? I mean, we're just talking about a pos and neg wire, right? Has anybody tried that?

Is there a thread, or site you recommend, that rates radars? I just have memories of ones from the 90s that beep insistently but do nothing.

Like most car mods you will get a bunch of responses from people about their favorite detector.

I bought an Escort with GPS built in. It lets you know where red light cameras are anywhere in the US. You get regular updates. There is a way to lock in red light cameras so I guess it takes all the ones from users across the country and puts them in a database to be used in updates. I also like that it will/can lock out false signals (motion sensors, etc). With GPS it knows where those signals are.

I like the Valentine because it lets you know which direction the signal is coming from. I wish Escort would add that feature. But for now, I like the GPS function much better because it doesn't matter where the radar is located, I'm going to slow down.
