Is this a solid one piece set up (except for where the over axle pipes connect) or is it multi piece. The reason I ask is I was wondering if it needs frequent adjustment to keep the tip aligned in the bumper reveal?

I have a question. I bought my car 5 years ago and came with the 2 tip Borla stingers and I believe it's just the axle back. I was wondering what size midpipes I would need? I have a pair of kooks headers, but no midpipes yet. I am not sure if I need a 3x3 or 3x2.5? If anyone could help me with this. Thanks!

Hard to say for sure. I'd think 3/3

Default c5 Borla stingers 2

I put a set of the new borla stingers 2 on my c5 vert. Highly recommended they sound great a nice aggressive sound off the line but even better NO DRONE when cruising on the highway! I would also recommend the installing the borla cross pipe with the system.

ok these are the "non-stingers"? so what are they called? Borla what?

The stingers might be too loud for my tastes. I'm sick of loud. I have 2 glasspacks then straight pipes underneath now that came with the car (custom job). I've had it less than 2 months and I'm already sick of it. Would you happen to know about how loud would the Borla stingers (assuming I have an x pipe also) be in comparison to what I have now? I want more than stock, but certainly NOT my current setup.

ANY exhaust I get I plan on installing an x pipe with it also. How close to the glasspack sound are borla stingers? IF close, then I might have to go with the "quieter" Borla, if there is such a thing.

I don't know exhausts. Talk to me.

Thanks,..................

Which is louder? s -type or s type II? I'm thinking the s-type.

The normal S-type will be a bit louder since the type 2 is designed to minimize cabin drone. A lot of C5 owners find their cars are so prone to cabin noise that there's only so much you can do about it anyway. I've definitely had an overwhelming majority of people report back that the original S-type is the ideal exhaust sound for their cars, but if avoiding cabin drone is the big priority for you it definitely wouldn't hurt to consider the type 2 system.

Thanks,
Dave
