Escort 9500ix and Blendmount Package
#22
I have a 2002 coupe, and my mirror likewise doesn't have the long barrel. Looking further, the Blendmount website's C5 window specifically identifies my mirror mount (at the bottom of the page) as one for which BlendMount does not have a mount that fits. What's with that?
So...Caveat Emptor. Don't buy this mounting system until you first are certain it will work on your Vett.
As an aside, I wonder how many C5's have this mounting system? Was it an '02 thing? Or something else?

I ordered the 9500ix Blendmount package from southerncarparts and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Looking forward to a product that has received great reviews.

i have an '04 Z and i have a escort solo cordless,S3 and love it.also had the si and s2.cords look just terrible hanging over a dash. my concern is hanging any weight on the rear view mirror and weakening the adhesive and falling off. my car lives inside during the week tho so not alot of sun exposure to heat at least....

To the naysayers of the pricing for the blendmount: It is honestly worth it. It is the best mount you can get and almost makes your radar detector look oem. I have an escort solo2 and there is NO better method to mounting a radar detector than the blendmount. Even when you take it out of the package you can tell it's a high quality piece.

Burning Brakes
So this does not include the power cable that plugs into the back of the mirror?
What about for a Ford F150?
BTW, I have a Valentine and an Escort, while both have their positives and negatives, I use the Escort, mainly because the Valentine falses so much that you start to miss real alarms because the darned thing just goes off all the time.
For LOOOONG road trips tho I prefer the Valentine still.

The entire package with Escort radar detector does include the MirrorTap power cord that corresponds to the vehicle for which it's ordered. The BlendMount alone has the MirrorTap as an option available with it. We don't include it with every BlendMount b/c of the cost of it, and for the fact that frankly, many people don't need it b/c they already have one they had been using with a different mount in the past. On the complete package, we assume since people are buying everything they don't have one, but can't safely assume that with the mount alone since those people already have the radar detector.
As for the F-150, there's definitely a BlendMount available. Just give us a call at (770)919-1433 so we can figure out exactly the Mount that you need.
I'm a fan of the Escort myself, for exactly the reasons you stated. Used to have a V1 a few years back, got a 9500ix and never looked back.
Thanks,
Matt

If it does block the map lights, nobody has ever told me this and we sell this for the C5 all the time.

I already have the 9500 . . My question is, will the radar detector block the ambient light on the bottom on the mirror?
It does not on the C6, but the mirror lights are on the outer edges of the mirror. I cannot remember where it map lights are on the C5. Are they in the center or outer edges?

Blendmount for 9500ix in '07 C6.
Bought a blendmount for my '07 C6 and love it. Problem tho. Girl who details my vette knocked the blendmount off the mirror & wires broke off in mirror plug ... can't tell which was black and which was red. Can someone send me another wiring diagram for that mirror? Don't know what happened to original instructions.
Thanks a ton!
