I have this in both of my C5s and I can tell a difference in the amount of heat in the console. It is a no brainer to install. At least I did it.

Just placed my order for one of these. I have the interior insulated and the insulated tunnel plate but anything that can help reduce the heat even more I'm all for it.

Just ordered one of these. I am amazed that GM didn't give any thought to this given the amount of heat that is generated in that tunnel. I will miss being able to use that for a quick food warmer though.....

I am a totally new vette owner as of three days ago. I noticed heat from the shifter, back to the storage compartment. What of the heat coming from the area around the shifter? If this item only covers the inside of the storage compartment, what of the other areas where heat is felt?
Is there a version of this product that covers the area forward of the storage compartment?
