HID temps:
4300k- Brightest approx 3100 lumens
5000k- Same as 4300k. Some say they have more of a silver color
6000k- White with a hint of blue. Approx 2900 lumens
8000k- Blue. Approx 2500 lumens

(Disclaimer - I'm a complete newb at HID retrofits, so all I know is based on what I've read up on in forum posts... So apologies in advance for any questions that seem extra dumb.)
I live in an area where on some long stretches of road, lighting is practically non existent - along with high prevalence of boar / armadillo / deer / etc. crossings late at night. So basically I need all the light I can get when driving through these spots especially when coming home from a gig at 3am - while also minimizing blinding oncoming drivers coming around the curves if possible. I'd be looking at a 5000k set.
1) How effective are the high beams on this setup? Can they be made to function in tandem with the DRLs?
2) Are the DRL projector beams aimed via factory adjustments? How are the high beams aimed in comparison to the DRLs? Can they be adjusted adjusted separately?
3) Also, does your plug and play kit include any charge storage resistors, relays and/or harnessing I might need for proper light functionality?

High beams are fine, but they're a halogen reflector setup. They're not going to be as sharp as the low beam projectors. You won't even use them with the 55 watt lows we include. I'm sure you could wire them up with the DRLs with some custom work. I've never done that before, and unfortunately can't provide much help with it.
Highs can not be adjusted. Lows are adjusted with the factory adjustments also known as the golden rods. Easy to do.
Everything you need is included. Each headlight has a wiring harness with relays. Installation is simple. We make it all plug n play for you. Our directions will guide you through each step.
You're basically routing the harness from the headlights to the battery area. You have to make a connection for each wiring harness to the ground and positive in that area. Again, all plug n play.
The hardest part is routing it all out of sight. Not hard, it just takes a bit of time.
