As wonderful as those shrouds look maybe a new producer should be in order?

Default Thanks for interest and posts!

*Shroud Update*

We have re-tooled the shroud molds and have begun the process fabricating the carbon fiber shrouds in epoxy pre-impregnated ("pre-preg") cf in a pressure oven. True aerospace quality.
The vacuum infusion shrouds were coming out of the molds slightly out of shape (warped on one side) on most occasions which was creating tremendous waste. We would see one good one to 4-5 bad ones. Just wasn't sustainable and was costing too much to keep getting those results.

I currently owe two sets to members jrc and DQuags...
...gentlemen, my apologies. They're coming.
jrc's input last year was crucial to determining what we needed to do to correct the fitment. THANK YOU JIM!

New molds have been completed and the first shroud set is being checked for fitment as I type. I will have a better idea of the final results Monday but the preliminary results are encouraging!

Additionally; I am having fiberglass shrouds made up in order to offer those as an alternative option!

We are still a ways away from the "complete set" but should be available early this summer in fiberglass at first. We'll be offering the pre-preg shrouds to current, shroudless owners first and then to new system buyers once those that have waited so long choose what they want.

Currently we have 15 sets of shroudless on the shelf and JW is working up the details for a sale very soon. I am across the country on a fire assignment until at least May 5th or so there might be a little delay in assembly and shipping but not the 8-12 weeks to get an order from Hella like in the past.

Stay Tuned and Thanks Again!
Michael

After waiting for a few years for the shrouds this update is very welcome. It's nice to know quality is still very high on the list considering how long this have been in development. Looking forward to popping up the lights at car shows.

Thanks. Michael. I'd be fine with fiberglass, or whichever is ready first!

I don't want the shrouds. Can I get a set or 2 of shroudless?

If we can get the lights now we could just add the shrouds when you get them ready.

Default fiberglass shrouds

Having fiberglass shrouds made and would like to gage interest in them vs carbon fiber.

The carbon fiber sets are still going to be available but are waiting on the pressure oven to be completed before returning to production.

Some first prototype pics...

These will be two layers of glass and will come finished in matte black, you can paint to suit. Not sure of the price yet but will be reasonable. Once fitment and trimming is worked out I will begin a first a production run. Turn around should be quick, like within the next month.

If you are a current shroudless owner and have been waiting patiently for a set, you'll get priority. Any left over or not claimed will go towards the next headlight sale. If interested in grabbing a fiberglass set, please post up here and help me get an idea of how many to order. I was thinking of preordering a dozen but we can adjust that number based on response...

Mahalo!
Michael
