FS: Valentine 1 Radar Detector
In perfect working condition. My DD is a Buick Lesabre and the C5 is mostly a track car now. I have original box and all parts that came with it. I'll even include the cigarette outlet and fuse jumper I used to hide the wiring behind the dash in my VW. I'm the original owner. I bought it somewhere around 2003/2004.

V1 Description: Radar circuitry known in-house as V1.8-POP2. This is an excellent performer on both radar and laser, lacking only the crystal-controlled frequency tuning of later units to precisely maintain the limits of band coverage. Later V1 versions also include Euro Mode, ESP (Extended Serial Protocol), and Traffic Monitor Filter, a critically important feature if you drive on highways where the SpeedInfo system is used to monitor traffic flow.
Upgrade Recommendation: For operation in North America, you already have a strong performer as it left our factory. However, this upgrade adds the crystal-controlled frequency tuning of later units to precisely maintain the limits of band coverage over the long term. If you drive abroad, you will appreciate our new Euro Mode which improves protection on photo radar as it is used in some countries outside the U.S. Here in the U.S., Traffic Monitor Filter eliminates the K-band false alarms caused by traffic flow-measuring systems being installed along some highways; SpeedInfo sends frequent K-band radar bursts into the traffic stream (www.speedinfo.com to learn more). If you drive in an area with one of these systems, this upgrade will pay off immediately.
