Install pictures
Got it all installed and it sounds great, very musical. These hit hard and clean, but they are not overpowering. They aren't going to hit 20hz and rattle your teeth, but they do fill in the low end exceptionally well.
A few notes:
The carpet matches much better than these cell phone pics show, and they look like part of the car.
The boxes fit with the cargo net mounts left in place.
The JL XD600-1/v2 fits like it was made for the spot next to the trunk latch. A piece of pine was used as a backing plate in the bumper void, with easy access through the tail light.
The JL bass **** has a quick connect on it, so I decided to put it on the end of my Travel Buddy cup holder. It fits the gap with plenty of room to adjust, is near invisible, cannot be accidentally bumped and can be removed with the cup holder in an instant should I ever need to.
The XD600 amp calls for 4 gauge power wire, I was unable to use the 8 gauge kit.
The Pac audio oem-1 kit did not get used either, along with the 12' RCA cables for it. The labor of disassembling the dash was not worth the effort, expense and risk of breaking a plastic tab or scratching something. Instead we spliced into the rear speakers. This particular amp does not require a signal wire from the radio to turn on, it awakens with the speaker out alone.
From outside the car and from inside the cockpit there is no indication (other than the easily removable bass ****) that the stereo is anything but stock.
All wiring is invisible, even the 4 gauge power cable. Under the hood, if you look down next to the fender in the battery compartment, the fuse link can be seen.
Marc was a great help, going above and beyond to help me get what I was looking for.

Little update
Had these for a while now and really enjoying them. I generally listen to Pink Floyd type classic rock, but occasionally some metal.
Today was one of those occasions, I picked up the new Slipknot album.
Oh my. These subs hit hard and fast. In a previous vehicle I had two RF 12's, and these literally blow them away.
Thanks again to Marc, and JL Audio.
