Most of the users at Corvetteforum are honest, trustworthy Corvette enthusiasts you can count on to fairly and accurately describe the items they have for sale and to deliver those items promptly upon payment in the condition they described.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't exercise caution, of course. We've had a couple of instances this year where someone would register a user ID, PM site users who were looking for a particular part and recommend a "trusted" person with low prices who could give them a deal on what they needed.
Some who pursued the tip found that the seller had a low price, but would not take PayPal or credit cards. That meant you'd have to pay for the parts in a way that precluded any recourse if the item you got was not as advertised or did not show up at all.
Just use good common sense in buy/sell situations. Ask for the user names of other site users they have done business with and check them out before sending any money. Remember, if the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.
