I would think it would fit. I don't think anything changed on top of the engine. Its just pressure fit or Velcro. I never left it on but I would Velcro it.

Reason I asked is because, being that the 01 is less powerful than 02-04 in stock horsepower, I'm not too sure if the motors are different in anyway that would affect the mounting placement.

They gained HP in other ways. The top end external looks the same.
