Hi,

Anyone have experience with the Snap-on Modis? Snap-on's web site just talks about its diagnostic abilities. Can it do more? Can you 'tune' with it? Can it set the parms for an auto trans?

I have access to one, and was wondering what all it could do for me.

I have a C5, so ODB-II interface.

it cannot do anything as far as tuning or adjusting your pcm. it has no ability to edit or reflash anything.

i am a snap-on dealer and no it (modis or solus) will not reflash or do anything as far as tuning from what i understand, it might in the future with updates but there is no guarantee

No, the solus is just the scantool portion of the Modis.

Didn't i read a post somewhere that just using a snap-on tool on your car adds 5-10hp? Still not a very good dollar:pony ratio, heh...

Will the Solus do a Crank Position Relearn??? I went to a friend of mine's shop today who has a Solus...couldn't find it anywhere on the thing even after looking for close to a half an hour?
Thanks so much for any help, just swapped in a new PCM so I need to get it done if possible.
