Default Diablosport

Anyone out there know if the predator or trinity will allow for fan on/off temps on 01Z? Any actual power increase you can feel? My car runs 220+ around town in 55deg weather and rad is free of crap. Coolant needs to be changed anyways, fig I would have it vaccumed out and replaced...any opinions on this method? Any other tips on burping the system? Any part. Brand Tstat to get and or stay away from?

Thx

yes, you can adjust the fans.. . you'll gain about 15-20 hp/tq with the canned preset tunes, and even more if you get a custom tune done for it....

Yes you can add good HP with the canned tunes from Diablosport.

However, we can also offer you a full custom CMR tune for you. This will enable a bit more HP and we can set you up with a 160 or 180* thermostat to help with the tune to keep your temps down. Our custom CMR tunes are $149 via email and are quite easy to use and load.

Yes, it can all be done via email... that's how I do all my custom diablo tuning for people as well..

you send them copies of your tune files, they create you a custom tune file and email it back to you, and then you connect your Trinity to your Windows PC, and use diablo's DSDownloader software to import their custom tune file into your Trinity...

then, you connect your Trinity to your car, and select the Custom Tune, then Install Tune, and voila! the custom tune gets installed to your car and you're good to go.

Nice, like it! I was going to do the mail order tune on here where you ship the PCM and he reflashes it and mails back. Can any data logging be done with trinity first and sent to you to aid in dialing in the tune?

Yes... full data logging capability is available with the Trinity...

when I do custom tunes for people I have them do data logging for me, so I can fine-tune their custom tune specifically for their vehicle based on data log info for normal/part-throttle driving, as well as for WOT also... and I'm sure Matt at ECS does that as well...

so yes, once they get your initial custom tune done for you, they will most likely ask you to get the tune installed, put on some miles, and then get them some data logs so that they can fine-tune the custom tune for your car and send you updated custom tune files with adjustments made based on the log data that they received from you. Get in touch with Matt and he can let you know what they need from you...

Matt, we need to hookup after the holidays! I act only have one tuner now, trinity in my 07 caddy. Here is the question, can you do a tune for my 07 escalade that will improve over 91 oct diablo tune? If so should I data log it first, get a pred (much cheaper) i buy them from keystone...then upload the caddy file to pred and move onto the vette with trinity?

Thanks Matt, we will be doing business! I am in the classic car market...mattsclassicbowties.com

06MonteSS, what are the difference between the Diabosport predator and the Trinity? I'm mainly interested in a tune on my 02 C5Z that has a CAI and may end up with headers at a later date, so I'd want to optimize that change as well. Things like fan turn on, torque management, COT and possibly eliminating CEL if I delete the post cat sensors with the headers.

I've done engine management tuning before, I had a MOTEC stand along M4 system on my Porsche and programmed the fuel and ign mapping on my laptop with very good results.

well, #1 - the predator's are going to be phased out... they're being replaced by the new inTune programmer... but the inTune does not support older the older Class2 vehicles like yours yet...

#2 - the trinity has better data logging, more features, newer/updated tunes, has live data monitoring capability, has performance drag-tree functionality, has a better - easier to use touch-screen interface, and will get a future update that will allow you tune more than one supported vehicle at a time with it, etc etc...

For sure the trinity.

It's worth the extra $$

You can leave it hooked up permanent in the car if you want access to data or DTC's anywhere.

Cheesy touch screen but it works.

I'm seriously looking forward to being able to do 2 cars with my Trinity. Tune both my SRT-4 and Vert

Interested in finding out how much longer we have to wait. I recall seeing a post from the diablo guys regarding this and the predator way back when they first started supporting the SRT-4.
