Luckily the Yellow Top battery had terminals on the side and top. So I used your kit on top and the OEM on the side. I definitely noticed a difference - no more light dimming or anything. Car seems to start up a lot easier too!
I ended up putting a 2nd battery in the trunk to help with the subwoofer power draw. Works much better than those overpriced capacitors.
I've always done the wire upgrades in all my cars and it really does help. Especially when your car starts to age or you draw more power than the OEM system is designed for. The factory wiring gauge is small.

We have herd the same thing about the lights not dimming anymore.
I noticed our Vette just seems to run better over all.

Did you know: The name "Corvette" was borrowed from a line of small, fast navy ships used in World War II.

The first generation Corvette was introduced late in the 1953 model year. Originally designed as a show car for the 1953 Motorama display at the New York Auto Show, it generated enough interest to induce GM to make a production version to sell to the public. First production was on June 30, 1953.

With all of the high-tech electronics that have been incorporated into your C5 Corvette, not to mention additional after market electronics and stereo systems, it can take a toll on the factory charging systems ability to keep up. Especially if, over time, connections have become corroded.
Installing a BIG 3 upgrade can be very beneficial as many on the Corvette forum will tell you.
