Default How to swap ECM on a C5 (ECU)

my ecu is tuner lock

i just bought a similar ecu from a chevy astro with the same code

what's the procedure to swap the ecu with my vin...
i cant find nothing on the web

You will need to flash in the correct tune for your car using EFILive or HP tuners. Either software can rewrite the VIN # as well. I would probably set the "Vehicle Anti Theft" setting to disable just to make sure the ECM plays nice with all of the other modules.

What year is your car and what is the hdwr number on the new ECM?

I think you are n for a nightmare with an Astrovan ECM I would try to at least get a ECM from a Camaro silverado
