I have a 2004 Corvette Z06 twin turbo that was previously tuned and locked into 1 bar MAP sensor option. I need to switch to the 3 bar MAP to convert to Speed Density but my tuner says its locked in 1 bar and the the others dont highlight for him to click on. Is there a way to bypass this so I dont have to buy another ECU? I emailed HPtuners and their response was "Unfortunetly not."

Yes You need to get the ECM tuned back to COMPLETLY STOCK--- A dealer can do this for you as well as some diagnostic shops---Once it has been reflashed back to STOCK then any tuner can get back into your tune---Dealers charge like $150 for a stock re flash----just be careful not to drive it HARD at all until it's been retuned as you can damage the engine-
ALSO Another way to overwrite a "locked tune" is to have a tuner do a
"FULL REFLASH " of your ECM rather than the common "CAL FLASH"---I know you can do this with EFILIVE but not sure about HP--

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I was also looking at just buying another ECM for $50 but then was told I'd have to pay the $200 for credits again. I'll give the dealership a call and see what they say.
