Default Compatible ECM for C5

I have a 98 vette base and was looking for info on my ECM (16238212). Is there a compatible ECM if mine were to go bad? Just trying to be proactive.

I would just re pin it to the newer 411 pcm. its a pain but it a night and day difference, and 411's come in all trucks, vans, suv's, easily find one for 40 to 80 $, trust me you dont want to have a reflash go bad while your tuning.

Thanks again! It looks like I have to make sure the 411 is a 2002 model. A few connections are different in 2001 & 2000 models.
I appreciate you taking the time to help me.

You can buy any PCM I just had PCM calibrators send me a 2002 corvette operating system with the Vin from the new PCM. They normally don't charge for it (or at least he didn't charge me ) but I have hptuners . Tha ts the only way to do it my PCM was from a 2001 1500 gmc truck

I do not understand what hptuners or efi is? But most sites I have visited ask for vin #. Will that take care of it?

Those are both tuning software's. You cant use your VIN thats in your car now. You use the VIN that comes with that used 411 pcm. You could buy a used 411 and have PCM Calibrators or whoever you want put a Operating system on for a 2002 corvette. You would just have to call them and explain what your doing. I always work with AJ at Pcm calibrators since he helped me when my 98 pcm failed on a reflash. Is the car stock?
