Hp tuners help. Small surging, idle, a/f
both tune include
stock one before change
rev1 with changes
first of all, was difficult to start cold and warm
cold start was way too rich, on the rev1 is not too bad
warm start work fine now, but when i roll more ofter in city, sometime difficult to restart. look like too much fuel dump at low rpm
got some surging around 50-55mph and 15-1700rpm.
got surging around 40mph but solved everything.
can someone know where i miss something..
thanks !!

Ok when the eng is started either warm or cold the fueling is set by the "open loop normal table" When the temp hits 140* it goes into closed loop where the front 02's control the AFR to achieve the stoich AFR of 14.68---After warm it switches to a timer rather than the 140* usually like 20 seconds before it switches to closed loop
If you are having starting issues (rich) an adjustment to the open loop table in the start and idle fuel areas of that table is required---Typically with hds/cam/hdrs it requires a leaner commanded AFR than stock--- try leaning it down from like 40* to 220* and from 20 to 60 KPA --- I would lean that whole area by 1.0 and then add more it it doesn't fix it---I ended up with about a 16.10 on my 98 hds cam hdrs car
ALSO with a larger cam more timing is needed to make it start and to eliminate idle surge use the "base timing in gear and base timing in P/N" ---Stock timing in these tables is about 18*--I would set it at least to 23*---
Before attempting these changes you need to get your P/T LTFT fuel trims in line---They ideally should be "0" or slightly negative--Data logging is the only way to correct this
Use the MAF table to make these LTFT corrections--
And finally---a correction to the "desired airflow table" always helps with dying surging idle hunting issues----Most all mods require ADDING more airflow to both the in gear and P/N tables---I would start by adding 10% to the both these entire tables
These changes cannot be don with any handheld tuner--HP or EFILIVE is needed--If you don't have them you'll need someone with them to fix your tune---
These are all NORMAL issues that occur with mods---all are correctable !!!!!

substract 1 to the value ?
the value are around 1.65
.65 will commande a AfR of 22.61
way too lean ?
