So, been getting this code lately along with very inconsistent track times. I was wondering if with this code is it possible my traction control isn't turning off at all even though it is showing off on the dash? Or as long as it shows off on the dash with no TC light, it should be working, correct? It always shows as a history code and not a current code as well. 2000 a4. It feels more sluggish off the line on some runs than it does on others. At first I thought maybe slipping trans, but wondering if this could be a possibility.

A C1255 code is related to your ABS braking system typically most ABS codes are related to a fouled wheel speed sensor however yours may be deeper as it mentions your ECBM controller which is your BCM computer----
Your car uses the ABS with the traction control to prevent the wheels from spinning on a hard launch---and to prevent the wheels from skidding on a hard stop so it's use is 2 fold
Any ABS code will put your car into limp mode or reduced power mode as a safety item
hate to say but this may be a dealer fix or someone with a TECH II that can diagnose your BCM

Do you think it can be in limp mode/reduced power mode without any other warning saying so? It has no ABS light no limp mode or reduced engine power warning and I mean it still runs good but I am losing about 2-4 tenths in the 1/8th. I figured limp mode would be a lot more
