The only way is to have someone you know with HPTuner or EFILive download your tune and compare it to a stock one. Sometimes when you mail away your PCM for a mail order tune the vendor puts a sticker on your PCM to show who did the work. Other then that I would say no.

Are you doing the tuning yourself? Having a shop do it? There's really no need to "know" if you have a stock tune, your tuning shop wouldn't have any issues adjusting the tune accordingly, stock or not.

If all else fails I'll just ask a Stealer to return it to stock.

I personally would not want to pay for a dynotune if it is already been done. Around this area it is $450. Pretty steep if all they do is make a few tweaks and probably won't even make much difference (if it has a tune already)

Then buy HPTuners
Go to the tune repository and download a stock tune for your car.
Read your car, use the "compare" feature and you can tell at a glance.

Then find someone with HPTuners who can read your cars tune and do the comparison.

I'll be in the Chicago area in mid October for a wedding...

Trinity or Intune?

You can't do a whole lot with either unit in the area of tuning. Unless you are having someone with CMR doing the real tuning.

Have you married it yet?

No I have not. The directions I have says if you download a tune to a car without a stock tune serious engine damage will result. Just trying to be cautious.

It's only dangerous if you don't save a copy of the stock tune before you upload a new one.

Thanks. But I am not 100% certain the tune in it now is stock. I'm pretty sure but not 100%.

I'm still hoping for something positive here. At this point I might be seeking out the member who is coming to Chicago for a wedding in mid October.

Surprised nobody here has a Tech II who is willing to help a forum member out.
