Default 427 start up

Finishing up my 427 build and curious about starting it up. So the car originally had a heads cam set up on the stock Ls6 and tuned obviously. So when I'm finally done could I get away with trying to start it on the old tune or would it be a better idea to have a mail order tune for start up before getting going to get a full tune?

If you are using the same fuel injectors, MAF, MAP, and crank position sensor I think it shouldn't be a problem.

When I had the LS-7 installed, I sent the ECM up to East Coast Supercharging and had them flash a tune. They have a bunch of files from these LS-7 conversions. The tune ended up being very close to the dyno tune I ended up with.
