car goes in to "reduced power mode" after hard launch on street
I have a 2001 A4 with Andy's P1SC. The car has been dyno tuned well. I have had a few episodes where the car went in to "reduced power mode" after a hard launch on the street (never at the track with slicks). I had the car in "competition driving" mode. Is this telling me that the traction control is putting the car in "reduced power mode" because it can't "keep up"?????

Re: car goes in to "reduced power mode" after hard launch on street (rwj383)
I had multiple (15) codes, but all had the suffix H indicating that they were history codes. I was able to clear all codes, except the code P1336H. I have been unable to find this code on my list of codes. The computer will not allow me to clear this code. Could this be the problem, even though there is an H after the code????

Go here for code lookup. Look up P1336. Leave out the H

"CKP System Variation Not Learned"
This is the description of the code, as I'm sure you discovered.
There is a feature in LS1Edit that allows the user to
command the PCM to relearn the CKP position.
You probably should talk with a tuner about
what to do with this. (Perhaps the drive pulley
slipped on the crankshaft? This shouldn't happen
if the crank was pinned.)
Good luck.

I reviewed this with my tuner, and he says I should disable the 1336 code. He has had several cars do this with modifications, and according to his report, the engine is interpreting acute engine speed increase as mis-fire. So, I'll be disabling the 1336 code with LS1Edit tonight. By the way, the crank has been pinned.
