I've got the LPE kit. I went with a little over 2" tub job. I ended up taking one of the coupe top bases apart. Then rotated the section that clamps/slides in the bracket 180 degrees. So my top fits without problems and the bases are still easily removable. However, I didn't want the carpet buldge, so trimming was in order

Fits all 1997-2004 Corvette models and allows the installation of giant 345 series tires. Custom made wheel well tubs allow a factory looking installation of up to 345 series tires on the rear of your Corvette. The kit includes custom molded black plastic inner wheel well liners & and interior fiberglass extension panels. Also included: shock travel limiters, shock brackets and fastener kit.

Installation requires cutting of factory plastic floor pan and bonding new extension panels to floor. Inner wheel well liners are a bolt in item using OEM style fasteners. Some minor carpet trimming required. Minor shock modifications are required. Maximum suggested sizes for wheels and tires are 345/30-19 tires and 19x12 wheels. Wheels must be built with correct offset to ensure the tire does not protrude past the edge of the fender.

Just use the plastic liners. Take the fiberglass inside tubs and throw them in the trash.
I cut the inside of the car just enough to allow the plastic liners to fit properly. Then take mold release ( vaseline will work) and smear it on the inside of the plastic liner. I take strips of fiberglass mat and resin and lay it right on the liner from the inside. Once it's dry, give it a good pop with your fist and the inner fiberglass and the plastic liner are now separated but touching each other. Now you haver no wasted space in between. The top will fit, the speaker covers will go back in etc.

That is an awesome idea Andy!!

Now I totally wish the liners where sold seperately or someone had a template to modify existing ones
