Default Seal(s) for tire pressure sensor/valve stem

One of my valve stems/tire pressure sensors on my '98 is leaking after having new wheels and tires installed. I read that the seals in it can be replaced. Where can I get such seal. A part number or size would be helpful!

Thanks in advance!

The part number for the washer is 10268438. GMPartsDirect has these for $1.19 per pack of 5.
I had this problem with new wheels, and had to do the stem cut and inner banding concept.

Good luck

I think I've seen them at home depot/lowes also. they are just little round rubber washers (not the flattened kind for a hose, but round).

I wonder if this is a item that dealers keep in stock?

I got these from Home Depot, approx 23 cents each. I think I used #9. They are a little thicker then OEM, but so far they've worked and not leaked.

#9 o-ring at Home Depot. Red arrow points to where the o-ring goes on the 97-99 sensors.

When installing the sensor or new O-ring.. I clean the rim where the Oring seats and use a very light film of oil on the o ring to help is seal. So far no leaks or issues on the ones I have installed.

Off the shelf o rings will work as long as they are the same size. Nothing special about the rings.

I beg to differ with the statement that there is nothing special about these o-rings. The ones from a dealer ARE different from those that you buy at HD. THEY COST 10 TIMES as much. That's the difference!
