Default Help, I'm looking for a lift I can use in San Diego

I just acquired a set of Ti catbacks. I'd like to use a lift to install them.

I know I can jack up the car in my garage but I really don't have everything I need to do that plus I'd rather not do it that way if I don't have to.

Do you know where I could rent time on a lift in San Diego?

Or, are there any public auto hobby shops around?

Using Miramar's Auto Shop works for me but I'd need someone to get me on base. I use to use it all the time before I retired.

If anyone can help I'd appreciate it! Thanks

Happy Fourth!

Can't help on that side of the country, but, you don't really need a lift. Be creative and find a loading dock, back up until the rear end extends over (don't drive off it), use stop blocks. Same as having a lift.

Oops. I paid MIDAS $50.00 and they changed mine out with me helping.

I've thought about the loading dock; especially tomorrow as everything should be closed.

$50 is good and fair considering how easy the swap is. So far I've been quoted $100 at two different places.

There's always Tijuana or Ensenada! :

Man I miss San Diego, I didn't think that place lacked anything. Nothing over on 32nd St a retired guy can use? Coronado?

TTT, and good luck!

I don't think I'm going to take the vette across the border... hehee. I use to cross often. My dentist is in TJ. Been seeing him for about 19 years but when I cross its on my Sportster. Its the only way I can get back without having to wait for the long lines at the border.

Oh there are plenty of base Auto Hobby Shops around but I didn't retire from the military so I can't use them unless escorted onto base. I miss that perk I use to get while working for the Navy.
