I am going to readjust the vertical setting on the headlights. Which way do I turn the screw to lower the lights, CW or CCW?
As tough as it is to get that screw to even move, I don't want to turn it the wrong direction and find that I have to go back and do it over and risk stripping the thing out.
Surely SOMEONE knows the answer (it ain't in any of the literature I've read on it).

I can never remember.. Park it in front of a wall and try it one way, if wrong, go the other way.. I'll give you a tip though: Those adjusters have an "inside" and an "outside" to the torx fasteners..
The inside of the fastener will strip fairly easily.. Invest in a "socket" torx set, and use the outside of the fastener.

Thanks Dan....while I was really wanting to avoid the 'trial and error' method, your idea is a welcome bright light in an otherwise totally dark room.

Ok....not that anyone really seems to care, but just in case someone actually does, the adjusting screw is turned CCW to lower the headlites and CW to raise them.
And it is the adjuster on the long stalk, which is below the edge of the plastic surround, NOT the one immediately behind the removable twist cap.
The use of a 1/4" socket, which goes OVER the screw-head, in lieu of a torx wrench which most likely would have stripped the head out, was a smart suggestion worthy of remembering.
NOW, y'all know.

Really? The ones right behind the "access plug" are the horizontal adj on my '04, while the vert adjustors are the ones that require about 8" of extentions to reach and can be done so without removing the bezel.
Are they not the same on all year models?
Even though the car is relatively 'new', it took considerable torque getting them to move, and I was concerned about stripping them out. I never thought of using a 1/4" socket OVER the adj screw...but it worked perfectly.
