Can F45 shocks be upgraded to '04 Z06?
I have been doing research on the F45 shocks I have and it turns out they are a pretty penny to replace. It seems that the most common replacements are the '04 Z06 shocks or Bilstein Sports/Heavy Duty. I'm leaning towards the Z06 replacements...
A few questions:
1) Are there any problems swapping the Z06 shocks into a 98 Coupe (resetting CPU and/or shock compatibility)?
2) How do the F45 shocks stack up against the '04 z06 shocks?
3) How much do a new set of the '04 z06 shocks cost?
4) And how stiff is the z06 ride compared to mine?
Thanks

Btw, what about HAL QA1 Shocks? They're 12 way adjustable...

You can have the F45 system disabled by using a GM Tech II. The local dealer service dept. has one. Then you can run regular(non-F45) shocks without problems.

Burning Brakes
I'm interested in this as well. If the Z06 shocks are used, will the springs have to be replaced with Z springs as well? and perhaps the sway bars also? I would imagine that these should all be done at the same time, otherwise the car will not act correctly. Just a guess, but has anyone had experiences with this before?
