Service Active Handling Code
Could someone tell me what C1282 H C is refering to. Came up after the service active handling message was on the DIC. Thanks

I'm looking at an '02 service manual, but the short version -- yaw sensor is freaking out.
Scan tool should bring back additional info RE the issue, since there's a set of 6 tests that are run thru prior to setting the DTC. The diagnostic aids section is a bit odder than usual . . .
-> Scan car, take note of the 2 character code after the DTC. Note any other codes.
-> Park car on level surface during diag [likely to avoid false-positives during the startup tests]
-> Check car for alignment -- make sure it doesn't pull on level surface
-> Find out what conditions the DTC was set [duplicate error]
troubleshooting section focuses on checking the reference and bias voltage for the sensor -- scan tool should return .15 to 4.85v in the Yaw Rate Sensor Input parameter. With the sensor disconnected, the same parameter should return .15v steady. After retesting reference voltage and voltage returned after jumpering the yaw rate sensor (verifying reference is 5v on a voltmeter, and 4.85 volts is returned to the scan tool with a jumper), the reconnected sensor should return somewhere between 2.3 and 2.7v
Cut to the end, replace harness, replace sensor.
IMO, clear the code if it's the only one, make sure that your alignment is w/in spec [specifically, toe].
again, this is from an 02 service manual so there may be some differences -- from the description however, it sounds like a similar issue.

C1281 Steering Sensor Uncorrelated Malfunction
C1286 Steering Sensor Bias Malfunction
C1287 Steering Sensor Rate Malfunction
H -- is history
C -- is current code
