Default Active handling and tire sizes

ok - Have a question regarding tire size differences and Active handling.

Stock c5 tire sizes are:
245 45 17 25.7" tall
275 40 18 26.7" tall

some of us change to z06 sizes :

275-40-17 25.7" tall (i know it is really 265, but i am running 275 Kuhmo's with no active handling issues)
295-35-18 26.1" tall

the difference between front and back on stock is 1"
the difference between front and back on z06 is .4"

I just recently put the new BF G-force T/A KDW NT's on the rear (295-35-18) but waited to do the fronts - only to find that they do not make the stock or z06 size in the new tread...

They do however have 255-40-17 in the new tread design which is 25.2" tall. (does anyone think this is too low of a profile?)

So my question is - Since my rears are 26.1" and the fronts 25.2" - will this work nicely with Active handling???? since there is only .9" in variation vs 1.0" stock???

You shouldn't have any problems. As long as the rears are a bit taller than the fronts it should work fine.

That'll work just fine.

A .5" difference is enough to not cause issues. Anything less than that is kind of a gray area, you may or may not have problems...and if you go way off and end up with the fronts taller than the rears, you'll definitely have problems.

It will work ok. I am running that tire with a 305/35/18 on the rear and my car runs fine. Do it. I am sure you will have no problems.
