Swapping intake to LS6...what's the LS6 valley pan swap do for me
Swapping out the intake as I need to replace my oil pressure sensor.
Read somewhere where it might be a good idea to swap out the valley pan to the LS6 style while I'm there but it didn't give specifics as to what exactly this swap would do? Does it improve flow of any kind? Reduce Heat?
I am ordering all my other stuff...ie coolant pipe, plugs, gaskets, etc but not sure what to do on the valley pan issue.
Any input would be appreciated...

The LS6 valley pan will have LS6 PCV which will reduce the oil getting inside the intake. I have done the samething to my LS1 and did not see any improve.

you will have to cut a chunk of the block off to make the valley cover fit if it's a 97-00, www.ls1howto.com ls1 to ls6 pcv conversion

I don't think I would want to cut out a hunk of my block...so I assume its OK to leave the existing valley pan in place?

the ls6 valley conversion is pretty much standard deal when going f/i, plus anything w/ LS6 in front of it is
