Also, what do you mean that your "RPMs are stopping at 5-5"?

Re: Code 10-pcm??? (juser250)
Sorry, the code that is wrong is P1571H, which is the Traction Control Torque Request Circuit. The problem only occurs when traction control is enabled (turned on) The problem, if you didnt understand it, is that under acceleration, when the tach reaches 5500 rpm's, i hear a loud pop, or boom sound, and then acceleration slows very fast and then takes around a few more seconds to reach 6,000 rpms. Could this have someting to do w/ traction control or what? Please someone must have had this problem> thank you,
Ian

Re: Code 10-pcm??? (juser250)
When P1571 gets set, it usually doesn't cause a problem. However, before this gets set, the PCM will have a few seconds in which it thinks there is too much torque and it cuts back on the injectors. That's probably the popping you heard.
I recall in one of your other posts on this that you have a 97. I recall something about this code and 97s. I don't think there is a bulletin on it. But, there is probably some preliminary information. Your dealer should be able to look it up in the SI2000. And they may have to call the tech support number for more details.

HI there,
Bruce is correct here, as the 1571h is a normal characteristic of the 97 calibration, and it NOT a problem.\
This is a known condition, and GM technical can confirm this through your dealer.
Best to you, c4c5
