Default What Tire Pressure for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP?

I'm changing to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP tires on my 2000 Coupe.

I ran 30 psi (cold) and 32 psi (hot) pressures on the original Goodyears.

What pressures should I run on the Michelins?

Thanks.

The EXACT same pressure!! It will be fine! 28-30 works excellent for out C5's!! I use 30 in the fronts and 28 in the rears. That gives me the best wear and handling.

Thanks for the information.

I'm assuming the pressures you quote are cold conditions.

Thanks

if there the same tire size why would the pressure requirements change?

Normally ALL tire pressures are referenced at cold tire temps. The pressures will normally rise about 3-4 psi while driving. Thats why it's important to keep an eye on them during seasonal changes.

The last time we drove from CT to Bowling Green KY for the Bash, I experienced some tire pressure issues! When we left CT in the evening it was 30 degrees. When we were traveling through the first part of Ky, it was almost 75 degrees. My tire pressures were in the 40+ psi range. I could feel every crack in the road. I had to pull over and let some air out. Had the same issue on the way back except in the other direction.

So you didn't get the tire overheating warning system with your Vette? If you stop and a dog relieves himself on your tire, he is sending you a message regarding your tire temps. The dog is an early warning device.

This is why you should not run underinflated tires. Dogs are just looking for you! You have been warned.

Just had new Michelin Piolet Sport A/S ZP tire installed on my '99 two week ago ... what a DIFFERENCE! Quieter, softer ride, no "tracking the groves in the road" and better handling!!!

Thank for the pressure info!
