PO1416-"AIR System Bank 2-B" ??
That's what I threw this morning during my commute. I don't yet have the service manual, so I don't know where to start looking. I know the code refers to the Air Injection/Recirculation system on the pass. side, but that's about it! Any ideas, people?

From my experience at my shop (we only service corvettes) you probably have a right side AIR check valve failing. It is not easy to get at so get a shop manual and go thru the flow chart to diagnose it properly before you remove the intake manifold. Yep its behind there!

Thanks for the diagram Patches, and you both are right, it doesn't look easy to get to! Guess I'll have to use my $0 down extended warranty again! I'll let the stealership handle it.

I removed the AIR system in my camaro too. One thing I did do; i cleaned my MAF and throttle body, then cleared the codes. Haven't had a repeat for two weeks, so far.

well, i can throw in my 2cents here.. that was my first code ever on my 02 Z...
i thought it was the check valve on bank B, which is a PITA to remove.
No warranty, brought it to dealer, they actually found the problem: Battery had a slow leak from the bottom, and the acid burnt a vacume hose that is located near the electrical harness.
hope this can help
