Default Kooks Custom Headers @ SDPC

New C6 Vettes like long tube headers! SDPC knows that headers are a continuous discussion here on the forums and we are not trying to create a new argument! We are listing some of our dyno results and promoting a sale!
Headers are an integral part of a fine-tuned engine system! What works for one combination (stroke, bore, intake design, cylinder head flow and volume, camshaft, car weight, etc.) may not necessarily be good for something else. GM engineers told us years ago that the LS-engines really respond to well designed long tube headers and we agree!
We installed a set of Kook’s 1-7/8” long tube headers and the 3” X-pipe with cats on the boss’s new 2006 Vette (LS2, Z51, 6-speed, 3.42 gear, approximately 800-miles on the odometer). Again, completely stock engine, stock GM programming, and the factory mufflers, no other changes than installing the headers and X-pipe with cats --- the car was overwhelmingly different to drive (reminded me of a small shot nitrous!).
Results;
374rwhp
377ft-lbs
Moved the entire torque curve up about 25ft-lbs from 3000rpm and up! Bottom line – the 1-7/8” headers and the 3” X-pipe with cats is worth a minimum of 25rwhp and 25ft-lbs of torque.
Having learned this, it only made since that we have Kook’s make a slightly bigger tube header for the 402ci short block applications that we sell! So we asked Kook’s to make a stepped header 1-7/8” to a 2” tube then to the 3” collector. Currently this is exclusive to SDPC! So for all you big cube guys or if you are running a XXXL shot of nitrous, then we have the header set-up you need!
PM me or call, free shipping thru March 31, 2006.
Add an X-Pipe and we will sweeten the deal even more!
