how do I get my stock AUX radio button to handle my MP3 player
How do I get my mp3 player to play through my AUX on my stock radio. I do not have a CD Changer. The input on my MP3 player is a mini jack.
I posted this in the audio section and no one knows... Can someone please help.

ive heard that there is an adapter that plugs into the radio where the cd changer would plug in that converts to rca jacks. if you could find that adapter then im sure you could find the right cable to make your mp3 player hook up to it. i have no idea where i saw this though. i would just use an fm modulator. good luck.

If you're using an iPod, there are cables available that will plug into the radio where the disc changer would normally connect. Then you will have the ability to select playlists and songs from the radio controls. http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piegm10aux.html

What kind of MP3 player do you have? That would make it easier to help you.

I got the adapter from www.pie.net. They make interface electronics. There's a cable the plugs into the wires for the CD changer. I also had to buy the adapter that connects the wiring harness to the cd changer. The wires are on the floor of the passenger footwell. It's a PITA to get it all together - but that will eventually get you to a set of RCA cables. Once there, you can use a mini jack to RCA cable from radio shack, or wire it up with a plug, etc.
The whole thing cost about $150. Overpriced for a bunch of cables, but it's worth it.
There's also some iPod specific connectors that include power and the ability to use some of the radio controls to switch songs, etc.

There are two connectors in the passengers foot well that are used to plug the CD changer adapter cable into. There on the outboard side of the fuse box. Some interface units connect there and others connect in back where the OEM CD changer is.
