I want to do this too, after i have more power mods

while it isn't the end-all of coilover stuff for the C5, it does look pretty straight-forward. Good Luck

Sorry for being dumb, but why are coilovers better than say Bilsteins?

coil-overs replace the shock and the transverse springs. Better is always a fight here.

Better?? Well it would be much better than your average set of shocks and your stock leaf springs.

Now can you get a set of shocks and springs to match that are better than coilovers- dam right you could. I guess in the end the advantage with the coiloverrs is being able to adjust them though I am not sure how many people actually take advantage of that.

Bilsteins are just shocks. Coilovers replace the shocks and leaf springs

Just an FWI, several of the coil overs use Bilstein shock bodies

There are about 4 different popular companies that do coilovers on the C5's. We are one of them and I like to think we are the best Many companies use the Bilstein shocks because they are great shocks for the money and are very servicable. We have been using them for years and years and years and would never go a different way, unless it is a full out racecar. Hyperco springs are also very good that is why we run them.

Default Coilovers

Thank you gents.

As always, this forum is very educational. Since joining, I have learned a lot about things. Even if I might not use the "mod", such as the coilovers.

I think for now, I will stick with my Z51 and Bilsteins.

Thanks to all again.
