Default 99 FRC vs 03 Z06 Header/exhaust differences?

I'm looking at buying an LG pro series header/x-pipe setup (http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...15ba14f8b3c0a8) from a 6 speed 03 Z06, and I have a 6 speed 99 FRC, I noticed on LG's website that they differentiate between:

97-00 C5
01-03 C5/Z06
04 C5/Z06

Whats the different between the top two?

Thanks!
Kyle

I think you should look around a bit... I 'm pretty sure you are gonna find anorher "speed"... 99 FRC's were all 6 speeds...lol

The air tube on the passenger side and the dip stick are in different locations. Not insurmountable. Five speed???

GRRRRRRRR danging!

sorry, still a 6 speed no0b

Give me a little breat, I bought the car right before winter, I've only driven it for about 5 days

Anyway... can you explain the air tube and dipstick functions to the uber-no0b vette owner?

Or are you talking about the actual engine dipstick?

Thanks

97-00, AIR tube is further back, dipstick bolted to manifold
01-04 AIR tube moved fwd, dipstick bolted to head
04 only diff is the O2 sensor connectors

Z06 used the same manifolds as the 01-04 base C5's

Thanks Steve!

So in order to make the 03's work on the 99, I'd get rid of the EGR system and have to mount my dipstick tube somehow, huh?

no EGR on any C5

you will need the 01-04 AIR tube and the 01-04 dipstick tube and dipstick

NOTE: the dipsticks are a diff length from early to late

It is no big deal if you don't mind getting rid of the air system, which I would anyway, it cleans up the engine bay. The dipstick can be overcome by a competent shop to fab up a little bracket.

It's for air injection to light off the catalytic convertors more quickly.
