You should have 4 wires to install.
1. The small purple wire that goes on the little post on the solenoid.
2. The gray control wire.
3. The black control wire.
4. The red power lead from the battery.
Wires 2, 3 and 4 all go on the same post on the solenoid - left hand side of the solenoid.
Do not connect any of the wires to the solenoid post - right hand side of the solenoid - that has the lead going to the starter motor.
Its that simple.
