Default Fuse box Cover screw-removal?

How do you remove the plastic screw from the top of the fuse box cover? I'm trying to put a top cover on it and not sure how it comes out? Scott

Lets see... righty tighty, lefty loosey?

GJ Problem solved!

Just kidding if you couldn't tell. I'm sure you mean remove the screw entirely from the lid - at which i have no experience. Good Luck

From memory, there is a plastic piece that would remind you of a wall anchor that the threads go into...slit that plastic piece with a razor blade and out it comes! I think I used a small electrical tie to close the plastic anchor after I put my stainless cover on.

Flip the cover on its back.Pull lightly on the bolt while pushing the bolt to the none indented edge and pushing a flat mini screw driver against the plastic bolt and the molded clip.If you look at the bolt with a flash light you will see the bolt has a molded ring. The box has a molded clip which you can see with a light.Your goal is to push the plastic clip outward. No cutting 5 seconds its out.

Cheers

I searched the net to figure out how to remove the bolt. The answer to do it on this site ruined the part by hacking it up.My ride is a mint condition 2002 Corvette ...not a Chevette
