Default Is a 06 ZO6 clutch compatable with a 99?

My clutch is toast in my 99 vette, and i found a deal on a 2006 clutch out of a ZO6. Comes with the clutch, presure plate and flywheel. Will that clutch work with my car?

The Z06 clutch will work fine, the bolt patterns are all the same. For ~$350 you can get a brand new clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throw-out bearing made (and or) sold by exedy off ebay.

I hope you're getting a killer deal on the used one (if it is) because the effort to do a clutch swap is tremendous and I wouldn't waste that on buying even a low-milage used setup of questionable pedigree.

Just my .02

Lol, it's not questionable pedigree, its mine and I pulled it for an OZ700. I have it in the for sale section.

Didn't mean to insult anyone's used clutch....

And FYI- I got a 97-04 Luk Z-06 New clutch and flywheel from 'gripforce-clutches' off ebay and it included the flywheel which I neglected to mention. $313 delivered to my door with the:
clutch-plate
pressure-plate
throw-out-bearing
pilot-bearing
fly-wheel
alignment-tool

I have no idea if it is really a Z06 clutch. It has the little yellow springs and came in an exedy box. No affilitation, yadda-yadda. It's in the dining room waiting for me so I have nothing else to add. If it's crap you'll probably see me post when it dies prematurely.

LMAO!!! No offense taken, my feelings aren't hurt and I don't think my clutch even heard you This is a C6 Z06 clutch though, you're referring to a C5Z06 clutch. This thing was $550 when I bought it from Gene Culley last spring.

I also picked one up from Gene, summer of last year. C6 Z06, clutch for around that same price.

Perfect fit in my '99 coupe. Plus its capable of handling 450+ RWHP, It has the feel of the stock C5 clutch and the capability of an aftermarket performance clutch.

I love it, works well with my 391RWHP coupe.

I replaced my stock clutch with the "Luk Stage2" Z06 "upgraded" clutch. I was very unhappy with the clutch. My car made short work of it, it only lasted 30k miles, and it chattered quite a bit.

Granted I saved a few dollars when I bought it, it didn't last very long. I wish the C6 Z06 clutch was available when I bought the Luk and paid to have it installed.

C6Z06 clutch vs. Luk Stage2 = no camparison

My $0.02

i think thers too much confusion calling it a Z06 clutch, The LS7 clutch is the way to go I hear. Byunspeed on LS1tech has a group purchase right now I think.

What is the group purchase price? I sell them pretty much for the least expensive price all the time!
