Default LS1 and Nitrous

I would like to see everyones opinions on a 100-150 shot on a stock LS1 and what problems I might run into. Also I was wondering if the rings needed to be gaped more for nitrous?

You can spray a 150shot on a stock bottom end LS1 all the time without any problems. Use some NGK TR6 plugs and pull a few degrees of timing with HP tuners when you're ready to spray it. Done deal.

106k and been running a 150 wet shot for the last two years. With cam and headers squeeks in at 11.1@123 and a fun ride. Keep trying to blow it up but it won't.

***** of Steel with a Plastic Intake!

LOL Maybe the other way around...200 Dry and 100 Wet...

Be interesting to see how much I can do with the 42's on the dry. Dry is going to be the big hit, Wet will follow it up...shooting for the dyno mid may, I get parolled a week from tomorrow, and need some time to work on the tune and COS 5...

Dyno plan three NA runs.
Then some dry test 100 then 150, maybe higher based on IDC
Wet test 100/150

Then work the combos
Will see how the 100 dry /100 wet pans out and go from there.

Maybe 150 Dry with a 100 Wet...

Nope I think he had it right 100 dry 200 wet, wet will hit a lot harder and produce a bit more hp over dry plus dry is safer in most cases, do a dyno run with each and you will see the difference

BEER99C5.... I'VE BEEN USING A 125 SHOT WET AND 100 DRY SHOT COMBINED. I AM INSTALLING A 175 WET SHOT AND USING THE DRY 100 SHOT TOGETHER FOR A 275 COMBINED SHOT !!
I HAVE TAKEN CARE OF MY TRACTION ISSUES WITH LAKEWOOD DRAG SHOCKS W/ 3" EXTENSIONS UP FRONT ( WORKS GREAT ).
THE WET KIT IS THOTTLE ACTIVATED ( WOT ) AND THE DRY KIT IS ON A BUTTON THAT I PRESS AS SOON AS I HOOK IN FIRST.

I AM SHOOTING FOR THE FASTEST STOCK A4 1997 C5 !! 10.7'S IS NOT ENOUGH. MY GOAL IS 1O.2'S. I'M SWAPPING OUT MY 5000 STALL CONVERTER ALSO FOR A 3800. SO, 10.2'S WONT BE A PROBLEM.

LONG LIVE THE LS1'S

123sugey,
More info on the Lakewood drag shocks and extensions please (Part numbers, who sells 'em, cost).

My parents live up in Port St. Lucie; I'm down in Coconut Creek (1hr 15 min south). Do you ever go to the Corvette Challenges at Moroso? You'd probably be one of the fastest cars there

The shocks have been on for about 4 or 5 months with no problems on the street. under light throttle it lifts a little. when you give it 3/4 or more throttle is when it lifts. no problems cornering either. but i forgot to tell frc rob to take off or disconnect front swaybar also. the shocks work excellent. a few other forum members are doing the same now.

Thanks 123 sugey. That's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for (no Corvette tax). And, my front swaybar has already been off the car for years.

Hey guys I love all of the feed back! I have a plate and can spray two stages any where from 50 -200 shot. What would you suggest if there are no other mods done to the car? single stage 150, or a two stage of some sorts? I plan on getting a cam and headers in the near future also.

Has anyone ran into breaking output shafts or anything else with this added horse power?

I want faster!!! haha

brake up the nitrous hit with a 2 stage. easy on the motor and easier on the tires !! hehe
output shaft will be fine if you use a 150 shot and street tires. alot of people will disagree with that. but, i have 118,000 of hard driving on my car and never had a prob with out put shaft. i do have a dte rear now though. and yes i have a rearend whine now after close to 1000 holeshots. with sticky mt drag radials

I do not know much about two stage so help me out a little bit. When you say break it up do you mean like a 50 shot then a 100 shot? This is a wet kit, does it matter if both shots are wet?
