Gas Pedal Wide Open Throttle Question
I understand the gas pedal linkage is electronic. What stops the pedal for Wide Open Throttle? How can I find out if my car is actually going to WOT. Is there an adjustment for the pedal sensor?
I was doing some work on my car and looked at the pedal. It looks like there is a metal stop for the pedal where it attaches to the firewall. However, the pedal hits the plastic piece that bolts to the floor before it hits the metal.
I would not be wondering except for when I went to the track last summer my car only ran in the mid 15’s and I have been looking for reasons why it ran so slow.

In a nut shell...There is an Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor mounted on the pedal which talks (voltage changes) with the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module which drives the throttle body. This voltage signal is also monitored by the PCM

Is this sensor adjustable? Is there a tool available to show the throttle position to check the adjustment?
