Default estimated HP gain from CAI, tune, LT headers, and cam...

Would I get 70HP on a stock 2000 6-speed manual with these?

A shop in Vegas has a package for about $4k with everything installed.

I'm thinking this would make the car a mid 12 second runner in the 1/4 mile...thoughts?

huh? ummmmm not from what I have read....not unless your putting in a stock Z06 cam or a cam that is so small you shouldn't of put it in to begin with.

Depends on the car you are starting with.

A good cam is worth between 30 to 50 rwhp.

Headers are good for 20 -30 rwhp.

CAI is generally worth from 5 to 15 rwhp.

If you have an LS1 motor 2000 or before, you could benefit even more by getting an LS6 intake for $350, and a set of used LS6 (243) heads.

I agree and these numbers are closer to what I heard as well...so your goal of 70 I don't think is too far off at all. 60-70rwhp looks do-able. Your price almost looks to be dead on as well. Typical headers/cam package from when I went looking around was indeed around $4K.

70rwhp is doable if you get a cam optimized for stock heads.

You can do it with those parts depending on which ones you get....and how good your tune brings them all together.

A cam on stock heads won't yield 50 RWHP

not a chance...and a CAI gets up to 15rwhp?!

RWHP is hard to say because is this an auto? 6 speed? dynojet? mustang dyno? weather? aggresive of tune?

im going off of REAL world numbers and will give my estimate on a dynojet...70ish weather...MN6

a cam will get 25-35
CAI = 0
headers = 20

look for 380rwhp + or - 5 on a real dyno

I got 410rwhp with ported 243 heads and a 224 cam on a mustang dyno. 3.42 gear and 70ish weather

Dependant upon cam. To run mid 12's all you really need is DR's and LT's...

With stock 99 Heads and all the supporting mods I am at 402RWHP.

Same here. With stock 853's (Upgraded Springs), cam, LS6 intake, and all the bolt-ons I made 410/387

im at 353rwhp and 366rwtq on just Vararam CAI, LG Big 3 catback and Dynotune with HPT.
i wasnt able to get a before dyno as i already put the stuff on it, but its a 2002 6spd coupe with the ls6 intake mani, but i was excited for the numbers. you should easily get 60-70rwhp out of cam, headers, cai, exhaust and tune with a great tuner.

OK...here's what I got.
'99 coupe M6, 853 heads, ls1 intake. I baseline at 315 rwhp with a Borla catback. I added Kooks LT with cats, 228/232 cam ( small enough for calif. smog), UD pulley, tune and vararam. I end up with 390 rwhp, the vararam as you know you don't get any hp on the dyno. So you should get more if you get bigger cam.

^^I don't. However, since ECS was involved in the test and has a good rep I figure it is worth something. Also, there have been many posts on this subject and most seem to come out showing HP increases. Probably because the stock system is restrictive. For those that have done the license plate mod/ halltech tunnel ram numbers are probably higher due to cooler air and ramming affect.

Dynos are just tuning devices. What really counts is performance.
