Do I need to reset the PCM?
Hello Everyone!
I was going through the C5 FAQs and I came across the instructions of how to reset the PCM after changing the intake system. I have changed my intake system a few months ago, the work was done at a local Corvette tuner, but I am almost sure that they didn’t reset the PCM.
Do I need to do the PCM reset or did the PCM adjusted automatically after all this time (six months plus) driving the car? I have not notice any problems with the car.

The PCM will adjust by itself. It will adjust fuel trims based on the O2 sensor output to get the air/fuel ratio adjusted for the higher airflow. It doesn't take long to do this, usually it has stabilized within a couple of hundred miles.

Re: Do I need to reset the PCM? (Paul R)
Thanks Paul R!
In essence, even if you don’t reset the PCM after the intake modification, it will adjust to the new conditions over time.
In my case, because the modification happened a few thousand miles ago, the PCM has adjusted already and I don’t need to reset the PCM.
Thanks again for your help.

After installing the Vortex, all I did was drive it. The track would be a quick reset.
