Headlight switch failed. Decided to repair instead of replace…

Great post Mike
I followed it and ran into only one problem, so I thought I would share. When you put the two halves of the switch back together make certain the the little gear is indexed correctly. I missed this initially and the daytime running lights would not turn off when the key was removed. Took it back apart and corrected that and it now works fine.
thanks for the great write up!

Looking for switch cleanIng and repair guidance
I am looking to do this fix with cleaning the contacts and such, however, I can not view any of these pics in the original posts... can anyone re post the pictures of the internals of the switch housing and any other pointers to disassemble and reassemble the switch? New to the forum and I understand this is an older thread thanks for your help in advance!

headlight switch repair
Is there a way to view the pictures that were originally posted with the post by Miker on repairing the C5 headlight switch? I realize the post is old from 9/30/2007 but pictures would help.

This is a Great post. I'm guessing the repair is still ok since 2008? You just can't find a new C5 multifunction switch. I wish I could have seen the pics but you nailed it. I'll figure it out. Thanks.

@MIKER Thank you for your post! You gave me the confidence to disassemble my multi function switch, dead right rear turn signal. Good grounds. Dead green wire. I sprayed DeOxit everywhere inside and, wow! It now works! I could not find an OEM switch, but I didn't look super hard, I thought I'd break open the unit after reading your post. You rock !

I know this is an old post... but do you happen to know what happened to your pictures? They're not showing up on my end.... and I'd LOVE to see them! I cannot find a combination switch ANYWHERE so I was going to try to adjust the connections. I have everything taken apart... but I don't want to break anything, so I want to make sure I "adjust" them correctly :-)
