Question For Yank C5 3000 Owners!
How do you like it? Have you had ANY problems since you installed it (SES lights, lock-up issues, etc)? I had first a Yank TT2800 and later a Yank ST3500 in my '99 Camaro SS and I'm thinking about this converter for my 'Vette. Any comments/impressions would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

driveability-yes, 100% there
however, i'm having tranny troubles now that i DON'T blame on the yank. getting trans slippage codes and on occasion in the highway the rpms jump on it's own. there is only so much the stock tranny can hold since i have a head & cam package.
i recommend the 3500

I have had the Yank 3000 for over a year now and I love it. The car is MUCH more responsive on the street and I cut .5 from my ET. It is very "streetable". No regrets what so ever.
What ever you do, DON'T use synthetic transmission fluid. When I had my Yank installed I had them use synthetic fluid. When summer arrived I started getting "transmission slipping" codes. I called Mike from Yank and he told me the problem was from using synthetic. He said it is too "slippery". I had to have the tranny completely drained and the GM fluid installed. After that the slipping codes went away.

Well, thanks for your comments, men. You've made my decision-making task a lot easier.

I have the Y3000 and it's been a nicer car to drive. Wife enjoys it more too:)
