Default Fuel level sensor and sender

Is it possible to replace the fuel level sensor or sender in the right tank without removing the tank? The car is 2004 Z06. The tank system is different on 2003-2004 than earlier models.

Have you tried Techron if your sensor is acting up? Usually fixes it. Use only top tier gas, see toptiergas.com

The sulphur in gas affects the fuel level sensor.

No, on any C5 the fuel tank must be removed to replace the sensor, as it comes out of the top of the tank. As suggested above, try Techron and see if that helps clear the problem.

Thanks for information.I have already tried strong addective from GM for this problem.Nothing works.One guy working with Corvettes told me that i need new softwear to the computor for this problem.Somthing GM told him.He is going to put new softwear in my car on Monday.I have never heard about this before.

There is a bulletin about recalibrating the PCM for fuel gauge,

You never did say what is actually happening with cars fuel gauge.
The fuel gage can not go up more than half tank. Even with full tank
it drops to empty after some minutes and check gages light comes on together with low fuel on the dic. But after I step at the brake pedal the pointer at the gage goes up to half tank for some minutes and go back to empty again. Even when i stand still and push the brake pedal down the pointer goes up to half tank. See my masage earlier.
